Arundel

Arundel Sussex England

We are so lucky to have landed in Arundel over 30 years ago.
It's the most beautiful place to be.

As well as living in a Victorian cottage by the river,
we also have an antiques business in the town.

In a 19th century warehouse, once part of the Arundel Swallow Brewery.

We deal in English & French antique and vintage furniture and our own style of upcycling.

The latter taking us from the old warehouse behind
Arundel Co-op and chip shop to
one of the most prestigious stores in the world.

In 2016 we were invited to show our collection on the top floor of Liberty London.

Arundel

The town itself  is steeped in history.
The surrounding countryside breathtaking.

It’s not only the castle dominating the skyline that makes it so special......

or the cathedral that towers majestically over houses built by Napoleonic prisoners of war.

Or the river that meanders through.

It’s not the many individual shops, restaurants or pubs.

Or the walks that lead you mile after mile into places with the most spectacular of views.

Found this lovely old book in a junk shop

Where you can sit on hilltops far from the madding crowd and just catch your breath.

It isn’t the history that dates back to Roman times or the streets that feel like a film set.

Or the locals, many of whom are artistic, musical or just nicely eccentric.

  Party in the jailhouse

Not the serene setting for boating, wildlife and picnics that is Swanbourne Lake.

Or the Wildfowl Trust, Museum, swimming lido,

ghost and walking tours and music in the old jailhouse.

It’s that whole package and so much more besides.

Arundel is unique.
