Screamin Lez and the Mindbenders and Vintage Painted Enamel
Good Morning
from a rather
damp Arundel
on the
August Bank Holiday weekend
and the last few days
of
The Arundel Festival
Screamin' Lez and the Mindbenders
Screamin' Lez |
Last night, after a day where
many of
Arundel Festival's
events were a trifle damp,
the deluge of water stopped,
just in time for the set of
much loved local Arundel band
Screamin' Lez and the Mindbenders,
down at the Jubilee Gardens.
This is how they describe
themselves
“''Rock and Roll band with a
punch''
We are exactly what it says on
the tin..
'Screaming Lez & The MindBenders' are a high voltage,
explosive rock and roll band
from Arundel West Sussex, England.
Playing all the Classics from
Elvis to AC/DC
An all male band with front man
Danny Smith (Screaming Lez), on Guitars, Fred & Harry, on Bass Ian, and on
the drums, the Maestro himself, Stephen Cass.”
They played to a rapturous audience,
many of whom were locals.
Lez AKA Danny Smith said he
and
Fred Hedger were devastated
when they thought their
set would be rained off.
But they were ecstatic when the
downpour
stopped and they were able to play.
The audience, who were of all ages,
children, teenagers, and way beyond,
were
ecstatic,
as they danced along to many
well known rock and roll numbers,
And by the time the band steamed into Creedence Clearwater Revival's Bad Moon Rising,
the audience went wild,
clearly a real favourite with
their loyal fan following.
Thanks Guys,
truly a night to remember.
The Vintage Enamel
is at last finished, and in our warehouse,
down behind the Co-op/ chip shop LOL
You wouldnt even know we were there
but we have 4 showrooms
of antiques and interiors,
hidden away down
the little alley way next to William Hill
where you turn left at the end
and sharp left again.
There, you will see a little
doorway in the far left corner,
step through
and although not exactly Narnia,
it comes a pretty close second. LOL
Nass and I will be there
most of the weekend.
Come and say "hello"
if you are in Arundel.
We also have our
Festival Artist,
Jenny ( Venue 2)
who is in her third year with us.
we are in House and Garden magazine this month |
We have Victorian Bamboo
and a shed load of other things besides....
