Antiques..... On and Off The Arundel High Street and other stuff

Antiques & Interiors

On and Off The High Street

For such a small town Arundel boasts
a huge diverse collection of antique shops.

So where are they all?
I hear you say.

Well, of course, there is the beautiful and internationally known,
Spencer Swaffer shop on the High Street.

Then there’s Bridge Antiques Centre,

Arundel Antique Buyers also in the High Street.
Antiquites and Nineveh House,
the converted chapel, can be found in Tarrant Street.

Is that it?

Oh no, no, no, my friend, that’s by far not it.

That’s just for starters.

Look beyond the main Arundel streets and
you will find a cornucopia of antiques warehouses.

Let’s start with The Old Brewery Antiques Warehouses.

Hidden down a little alley, behind Arundel’s Co-op
are the last remaining warehouses of the 19th
century Swallow Brewery.

They house three large antiques showrooms.

French Loft.

French decorative antiques run by Rowland Leach

Then there’s Steve Lawrence at Harmony Antiques,

with a collection of English and French decorative antiques.

Next door are husband and wife team
Nass and Brenda who run Arundel Eccentrics.
That's us

With a large collection of English and French decorative antique furniture.

We also decorate 19th century bamboo
furniture and chests of drawers using decoupage.

 The quirky
but sophisticated look has not only attracted
 national and international magazines,
 but also Liberty in London.

Throughout last year Arundel Eccentrics
had a large collection of their antiques on the
4th floor of the Regents Street store.

Coming out of Arundel
on the A27 going east is
The Vinery
Once a mushroom farm, the massive site boasts

not only well over 20 antique traders,
 but a shipper
(Steve Belt Shipping)
and four furniture restorers including

plus the widest array of antique furniture
you will find for many miles.

If you are in any doubt that Arundel's off the
High Street antique traders should be given a second
look............this will blow you away.....

at as a destination for antiques not on the High Street?
