Sunday Morning Down By the Bluebird Cafe & Decoupage

Since having our new addition, Elsa,

I've been revisiting some of the walks I did many years ago.

Last time I had a dog, was over 20 years ago.

Honey and I used to love walking along the beach.

I had forgotten about Ferring until an Arundel friend asked if I had been to The Bluebird Cafe.
A dog-friendly cafe right on the beach.

So we decided to check it out.

For a sociable puppy like Elsa, it's doggy heaven.
Here's their link.

You will see some great views of the area and the walks.

I realise that pebbles aren't great for puppies growing bones, so we mostly kept to the sand.......

but sometimes the best-laid plans...........

and the grassy walk alongside the beach.................

A sunny but cold Sunday morning brought walkers out in their droves.

and at the Bluebird cafe, they were queuing out the door...

then it was back to the warehouse, where we needed to photograph a couple of Persian rugs.
One so large we waited for a dry day to get it outside.

but this was not what I had in mind!

Nass adores Elsa as you can see

ahh that's more like it....

Decoupage

I've had a busy week with our decoupage pieces.
Here's a little more about our work.

Arundel Eccentrics Decoupage

When we find a box

pot

bowl

or item of furniture that we cannot keep as original for one reason or another,
we like to give it a bit of TLC.

So we paint or gild before decorating with decoupage

using 19th-century images....

or documents, maps or music...
this is covered with Handel sheet music...for a Handel music lover

our work has wound up in some pretty salubrious places

Liberty London

as well as some rather smart magazines.

We decorated this bamboo cabinet especially for House and Garden magazine.

and this bamboo table
