Blow Your Own Trumpet

Blow your own trumpet.....

Nass
... my husband
...best friend
...business partner

isn't one to blow his own trumpet....

So.. while he's not paying attention

.....ssshhh let me whisper in your ear

....he's quite extraordinary.

MS is a blighter.
Especially when you've been sporty all your life.

Occasionally it gets Nass down...but most of the time he works out ways to carry on with a smile.

He's an inspiration.

Fall over?
Get back up.

Since being diagnosed 15 years ago he's notched up a fair list of achievements.

His philosophy?
Life getting you down?

Do something amazing.

Sign up and run the Brighton marathon for the British Heart Foundation...or the Arundel 10k for The Brain Tumour Charity.

Legs not good for running this year?

Never cycled before?

No problem.

Buy a bike and cycle 56 miles in the London to Brighton for the Chestnut Tree Children's Hospice...don't worry...you'll soon get the hang of it.

But the last few years have been more problematic.

Cardiac arrest in the middle of Lockdown took its toll.

Thankfully, he survived.

So what now?

Lisa was a much loved friend and colleague of everyone at Arundel's Mill Road putting gardens and teashop.

She worked there for many years.

Lisa died suddenly in March at the age of 43, leaving a daughter, aged 13.

Her friends at the gardens would like to raise money for a memorial bench and to give Lisa's daughter something to remember her mother by.

So...tomorrow Nass is running the Littlehampton 5k.

And in true Nass, overcoming any problems, style....

Balance not great?

Run pushing your golf trolley.
Golf trolley unsteady?

Well, he talked about borrowing a sack of spuds from the Arundel chip shop.

Who knows with Nass?
Anything is possible.

Like to support?
