MS and Littlehampton 5K

MS and my extraordinary husband...

In spite of his health issues....Nass ran the Littlehampton 5k on 6th July...for a local charity.

The MS was the main problem to deal with.

When he first told me......I won't lie..I was nervous...tried to talk him out if it...

"Nass, you're crazy.. how will you deal with....falling...legs collapsing...what about your heart?"

( bear in mind he had 3 cardiac arrests in the middle of Lockdown)

But try telling him..head and brick wall?

He had thought it through..

" I'll push my golf trolley...that will keep me upright. "

But when tested.....it wasn't stable enough.

"I know....I'll borrow a sack of potatoes from the chip shop. "

More tests...spuds kept falling off.

Back to the drawing board....

Eventually he worked it out...

...and borrowed a small bag of cement from the Blastreat factory.

And so...on a wild, windy morning on Littlehampton seafront, with our old friend George running alongside....he did it.

Good time too...considering he was  pushing a bag of cement ...

Probably a first in the history of all 5ks?
Could start a trend...

......49 minutes 48 seconds

The final figure raised?

£2,000....

Well done Nass...and a million, zillion thanks to everyone who supported him

... verbally... financially...
...turning out to cheer him on..

On the way back to Arundel ..pale and exhausted.....(though.. opening the warehouse..it was Saturdayafter all...)

...he said,
" Bren, I promise...that's the last crazy thing I'll do."

Seriously?

...I'm not holding my breathe....
