Arundel Eccentrics

Hello from Arundel Eccentrics

We are at present working on a new website

Meanwhile, here is a sample of what we do.
You will find our collection on

                                                                     The Hoarde
Arundel Eccentrics are based in a 19th-century
brewery warehouse

down a little side street in Arundel.

Just a few minutes walk
from Arundel High Street.
At the moment, we are open
by appointment or chance.

Happy to open anytime for you

Why aren't we there all the time?

Well, a few reasons.

Often we are out buying, or in our studio working

on furniture.

We are a small business.... husband and wife,

Nass and Brenda.

During lockdown,

(as if that weren't enough)

 Nass suffered a cardiac arrest.

Scary stuff.

Very dramatic.

It involved my neighbour and I performing

 CPR

 and an Air Ambulance

taking off from the field opposite our house.

You get the picture, I'm sure.

Thankfully it had a good outcome.

But as a result, it's not always possible for us to open at regular times.

The Story

How to find us?

From Arundel High Street, walk down to the bridge.

Stay on the right-hand pavement.

Just after the bridge, you will see a little alley,

or twitten as we say down south.

Walk to the end of the alley.

Turn left and sharp left.

You will see warehouses to your left.
and what do we sell.?

English and French decorative furniture mostly.

We also upcycle vintage enamel pots,
bowls and buckets

                and Victorian chests of drawers

using paint and 19th-century images in the
 form of decoupage.

Our decoupage work took us from
behind the Co-op and the chip shop
to the 4th floor of Liberty London in 2016

 and into some very prestigious
 interior shops and magazines.

                    We also live in Arundel
at the other end of the same street where we have our warehouse
                    in a Victorian terraced cottage,
with a field of horses to the front

and the river Arun at the bottom of our back garden.

We have on our staff our 4-year-old spaniel, Elsa.
She helps hold body and soul together.

Entertains our regular clients.

Our US clients often ask for Elsa updates.

Elsa herself had a dramatic time when just a few months old.
Every walk is precious as a result.

Elsa and I walk every day in the Arundel area.

Here's a few snaps from along the way......
