Beautiful Sussex

We've had some wonderful walks this year, Elsa and I.

Changing seasons and our unique English weather add an extra dimension, of course.

The countryside around Arundel holds such breathtaking beauty I'd be hard pressed to tell you our favourite.

We've walked amongst bluebells at Blakehurst,  foxgloves in Rewell Woods...wild garlic near Houghton...

... climbed hills, sat at Nore Folly and walked woodland, sunflower fields and Roman roads in Slindon.....discovered a haven for bats....found statues and memorials in dense woodland....

we searched for and found the historic
" Secret Garden" in Binsted woods....

Once seen and crossed, who could ever forget the wonderful Gurkha bridge at North Stoke...or sheep grazing in the churchyard at South Stoke...we've puffed our way up the 300 plus steps of Jacobs Ladder in Burpham...

Sitting high on the hill at the top of Arundel Park...catching our breathe and gazing in awe over South Stoke, North Stoke, Amberley and beyond.

We've walked alongside horses on the gallops in Angmering Park and up to the South Downs way...

So lucky to live in this beautiful place.....
