Went to see Wicked Little
Letters at Arundel Town Hall on Friday.
The screening room where we sat..had originally been a courtroom...
the very court room that had once heard the case.
Much of the film had been shot in Arundel and nearby Worthing...so needless to say the screenings which go through March also..are selling out fast.
The original book of the true story is fascinating..The Littlehampton Libels
written by historian ChristopherHilliard.
It makes for interesting reading.
And if you are shocked by the language in the film..
(and I heard that somewhere people walked out...)
...thinking that maybe the film is over exaggerated.
Read the historical account.
You might find it even more astonishing.
