Arundel Eccentrics

Good morning from Arundel Eccentrics.

We've just had new stock in from France.

these 1940's tambours are great for storing shoes.
the shelves can be moved around.

This is lovely...18th century

We also have 19th century English bamboo.

these are bamboo pieces we have restored and decorated.

You will find all the details on our page on The Hoarde.

Walking

Elsa and I walk 5-8 k every morning before work.

We are lucky to have miles of the most beautiful countryside around Arundel.

Every walk is like a bonus after the scare of a year ago.
We thought we would lose her when she was only a few months old.
A grass seed that had gone into her leg, migrated to her spine.

She's fit now though and enjoys tramping across the fields and through the forests.

I listen to Audible books as we walk.

A murder mystery is not such a great idea when you're in the middle of no-where.
It makes you constantly check over your shoulder.

Hooked on the Cormoron Strike series at the moment.
Listened to them twice.

I'm eagerly awaiting the publication of the next.

I've been busy working on our decoupage on bamboo, chests, and buckets.
Now the weather is warmer it means I can pull the furniture into the garden.

So it doesn't feel like work at all.

Nass continues to work hard in spite of MS.
Most days he has a lot of pain in his legs.

Yesterday he hauled these pieces outside to photograph them.
I have no idea how he managed.
No-one else could lift this table.

Simon from the nearby chip shop and I, bombing the photos.

Nass keeps the warehouse looking fabulous.

How he manages to lift and display
the furniture when he feels bad is an inspiration.

Come and say "Hi" if you are ever in Arundel.

How to find us?

From the bustle of Arundel High Street, walk down to the bridge.
keeping to the right walk over.

You'll see a little alley, or twitten as we say down south.
Walk down, turn left and sharp left again.

Don't be put off by Co-op delivery vans and the like.

You will see three warehouses in a row.
All full of interesting English & French antique furniture.

We are last in the row.
